How Shipping and Delivery Works
Shipping your kitten by itself to a new location always sounds cruel and embarrassing, but actually we think it is harder for us than the kitten(s). With many years of experience in delivering kittens to our clients, we know for a fact that all of the Kittens are well taken care of. We only use professional pet relocating airlines with lots of experience. All kittens on board are going to be accompanied by a pet nanny. We tape kitten(s) food and feeding instructions to the top of the crate and put frozen water in the crate, so it will gradually thaw out for the kitten(s) and food is also provided as well.
The average flight is approximately 4 to 6 hours. We always ask about any delays or layovers and know the exact times and departures of the flights, so we also know the exact location the kitten with the help of the online tracker. The kitten will arrive on the same day as it is sent–usually a few hours. A soft fluffy bed is included in the travel crate, Blanket with parents and siblings smell and a toy or sock with my scent on it–to help the kitten feel secure.
We consider shipping as an option and we make the shipping arrangements; this is because most often we find suitable homes for our kittens but they might not be located within a driving distance. We can guess what question you have in mind right now, ‘Flying a Kitten’! Is it safe? This question is often asked. We certainly wouldn’t consider it if it wasn’t.
We personally asked this question to the courier on our first attempt several years ago. Only safe and approved Airlines which have pet-safe programs that Follows USDA guidelines are allowed to relocate pets. The kitten will be placed on a seat in the main cabin of the plane, and will be accompanied by a pet nanny. We NEVER fly kittens in the cargo section of the plane.
During booking we only select the shortest flights available. In more than 12 years of pet relocation, our kittens have always arrived safe and sound in their new homes. It is to be noted that a 2-6 hours flight is far more comfortable and safer than a 4 hour drive.
Thanks and we look forward to developing a cordial relation with you and your new kitten. Every one of our kittens will always be a part of our extended family.
